I would say that they had a fast shutter speed to capture the explosion. ISO was probably in the middle, like 600 or 800 because of the faster shutter speed.

fast shutter speed. High ISO because it looks slightly over exposed but a good amount.
Slow shutter speed, high ISO because they're in a dark room.
